Head to Mexico for one of the most intimate concert experiences on the planet. Closer to the Sun has music from mid-afternoon to the early hours of the morning. Bring a floatie and hit the Pool Stage for afternoon sets then head to Beach Stage for a sunset show. Gather your crew & grab a spot at the Concert Courtyard Main Stage. Keep the party going at the Late Night Stage. Plus, make sure to hit the special set at Heaven Lobby stage. Check out the 2027 lineup!

Main stage shows every night, daytime shows at the pool and on the beach, late-night dance parties & special pop ups around the resort are all part of your music vacation. No reserved seating, concert gates, or separate viewing areas! Everyone is a VIP!

Whether you like to get involved or kick back by the shore, there’s something for everyone at Closer to the Sun.

Go at it solo, plan a group costume, or team up with your roomie for a dynamic duo ‘fit. Theme nights are announced with plenty of time for you to shop around and put together something epic before the trip.

Leaving A Positive Legacy

Positive Legacy, the 501(c)(3) not-for-profit arm of Cloud 9 Adventures, is committed to integrating live music and service by inspiring music fans and artists to take action. Positive Legacy’s goal is to positively impact the communities we visit during Closer to the Sun by planning activities and hands-on ways to bring a deeper sense of purpose to your trip. This year, they celebrate $1.5 Million in grant giving since their inception.

Our trip continues to make an impact in the Riviera Maya region. Since 2014, we have raised almost $500,000 at Closer to the Sun to support grants benefitting different local organizations in the Yucatan.

Thank you to all who have supported the auctions, activities, and Day of Services outings over the years. Stay tuned for more info on how to leave a positive legacy at the next Closer to the Sun:

  • Participate in a Day of Service and donate an afternoon to make improvements in the local community.
  • Pack some donation items to provide necessary materials for local schools.
